Founded in 1984, Honesty has been manufacturing cruelty free skin and hair products for over 20 years. Right from the start our ethics were the guiding force of the company. Today our products are endorsed by The Vegan Society, BUAV Humane Cosmetics Standard, the Ethical Company Organisation ‘Good Shopping Guide’ and the Naturewatch Trust Compassionate Shopping Guide.

Over the years we have included complementary products to our mail order service. All products offered through Honesty are suitable for vegetarians, vegans or anyone wishing to avoid animal products and come from companies who adhere to compassionate policies. Items are always selected for their quality and animal/environmentally friendly features, and we are increasingly adding products with organic ingredients. We deal mainly with smaller businesses whose products are not widely available in the High Street, with the aim of providing the choice and service to make ethical shopping easy and enjoyable.

We offer a fast, efficient mail order service, and personal help and advice is available Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5pm. You can also use our secure on-line shopping facility by clicking on the text on the top left hand corner of this page.

Honesty products have been formulated with a number of principles in mind:

* Honesty rejects animal testing as unnecessary and unacceptable. No finished product is tested on animals. We use ingredients whose safety is well established and we test finished products on human volunteers.

* Written details are obtained of the history of every ingredient used. We use no ingredient that has been originally tested on animals since 1976. (Long established ingredients are rarely tested or re-tested on animals, especially for cosmetic purposes).

*All products are suitable for vegetarians, vegans, or anyone looking to buy cruelty free products containing no animal derived ingredients whatsoever.

* Products are made from quality raw materials. Plant oils and extracts are fully utilised and only natural plant colourings are included. We use no mineral oils or petrochemical based detergents.
